Capturing Special Moments

Celebrity Wedding – Richard and Kim

Having done Richard and Kim’s eShoot in Tokai forest, the day for their wedding had arrived, our first Celebrity Wedding :-)

Richard proposed to Kim at the Great Moscow circus and made front page headlines, even getting his own pole banner (see below).

We were very fortunate to be selected to cover this special day with the beautiful and elegant Kim and the playful and spontaneous Richard.  The day lived up to all our expectations, starting with the hair Salon, where Kim her mom and sister had their hair done, with dad in attendance, my first introduction to the family, and I could straight away tell that this was a very special family, lots of love.

From there we travelled to Richard, where we met up with him and his groomsmen, and here we could see were going to have fun with Richard.

This couple is really something special, they balance each other so perfectly, and it was really special sharing their day with them.

Below find a sampling of the photos we captured on the day, please feel free to leave a comment.

Charl and Cheryl, Cherishing the dress

After much negotiation about locations for Charl and Cheryl’s Cherish the dress shoot, we decided on Rhodes Memorial, Cheryl wasn’t too keen on water :-)

We had great fun and I knew when they arrived wearing matching tackies we would have a great time.  In between the other wedding shoots and even one fashion shoot going on we really enjoyed ourselves, especially watching the other brides reaction when Cheryl lay down on the concrete in her dress, climbed up on the lion etc.  Here they were all prim and proper and we were pushing the boundaries and having fun.

Thanks Charl and Cheryl for a great fun filled shoot.

You might notice we changed the look of our branding on the pics, part of our new look, let us know what you think.

In the Country – Jaco and Catherine

So off we went to just outside Riebeeck Kasteel for Jaco and Catherine’s wedding, and boy did we cook, 40 in the shade.  However the heat certainly didn’t melt the love on the day.  Catherine has by far been the most relaxed bride we have had, she was just so cool, you would hardly believe it was 40 out there.

Towards the end of last year we shot their eShoot and then you could already see how in love these two were and what a great couple they were.

When they spoke to us about the wedding day and how they wanted it real and different they certainly succeeded.  Personalised water bottles for guests during the ceremony, letting go of 100′s of balloons instead of the traditional confetti were just some of the examples of how they achieved their dream day.

To Jaco and Catherine, thankyou for allowing us to capture your special day and we hope our photo’s have captured your special memories of the day.

Please enjoy the photo’s and don’t be shy to leave us a comment.

Royden and Natasha Cherish shoot, Getting Wet

We finally managed to get together with Royden and Natasha for their Cherish shoot.   Previously weather, tides, and various factors caused us to keep delaying, but finally we managed to get all the planets into line and do this great fun filled shoot.

Both Royden and Natasha were fully charged to do this shoot and pretty much gave us total freedom to play how we wanted to, don’t know if they knew what they were getting themselves into but I think all went well and we had great fun, LOL.

This was our first water cherish shoot, and I have been trying for ages to convince  a bride to let us play in the water, and boy what fun we had, the sluice gates are now open and I just want to play some more.

Just want to say huge thanks to both of you for allowing us to play, we really have had such a great time with Royden and Natasha, from their eShoot (lion cages), to the Wedding (Vineyard Hotel and UCT) to the cherish shoot at St James, we wish you all the best and it’s been really great getting to know you.

Richard and Kim’s eShoot

We got together with Richard and Kim in Tokai forest just past the Arboretum for their eShoot, and boy what fun we had, Richard is defintely the funny man and as soon as he got his red nose out of his pocklet, had us in stiches.  Just seeing the way these two intearact, you can see they are perfectly suited, Richard always up for a laugh and Kim getting straight into his game, just see the pictures from when we gave them a balloon.

I can’t wait to see what comes out at the wedding and look forward to having a lot of fun.

Enjoy the sampling of pictures and feel free to leave a comment, always appreciated.

Charl and Cheryl

Charl and Cheryl proved to be a truly sweet and endearing couple, with both of them being very sweet and caring. Having met Cheryl’s Ouma at her home where Cheryl got dressed, one could straight away see why Cheryl had turned out the way she had.   Her gogga is a truly special lady and her and I shared some very special moments and laughs with her.

After 10 years they finally decided to tie the knot, and we were truly blessed to witness this union and were blessed to capture these happy moments. The wedding was held at the beautiful Nelson’s Creek wine estate, and what a great venue, especially from a photographers point of view, lots of photo opportunities.  Sadly as usual time is never on our side, but we were still fortunate enough to be able to capture these two beautiful people in beautiful settings and surrounds.

Below find a small sampling of photo’s from their special day.  Please feel free to leave a comment, always appreciated.

Megan Withers and Riel Bruwer

Below find  a sampling of pictures from Megan and Riels wedding.  Once again we must thank them for their patience, as unbelievable as it may seem we sadly had a family tragedy within a month and of course this just threw us out completely, but I would really like to say huge thank you’s to Megan and Riel for their patience and understanding.   What an awesome couple, full of love and kindness.

Up until the day of the wedding we had not met Riel as he had been studying overseas and then started working in PE straight after he got back.  So we were full of apprehension, but this was totaly unneccessary and within 5 minutes of meeting him we could see why Megan was always speaking of him with so much love, they really compliment each other so well.

Below find  a sampling of pictures from the wedding, please enjoy them as much as we enjoyed capturing them, and let us know what you think.

Royden and Natasha

At last :-) , we know a lot of you have been waiting for quite some time for these photo’s and we must apologise for the delay, but sadly we had a family tragedy and processing unfortunately took a back seat, apologies. ( So we have uploaded a couple of extra photo’s to try and make up for the delay, please be patient while the page loads)

Last night Royden and Natasha popped around to see their photo’s and I must say this is the reason we do it, to see the absolute joy on their faces as they relived the day looking at the moments we captured is what makes what we do worthwhile.

Royden and Natasha are such a great couple and they balance each other so well.  This is evident in their photo’s as I am sure you will see, just look at the moments when they are just with each other, the moments on the dance floor and I could go on and on but don’t want to embarrass them.

Below find a sampling of photo’s from their special day.  Your comments are welcomed and appreciated. Enjoy

Jaco and Catherine

We have known Catherine for many years and where so happy when she and Jaco got engaged.  To top it off for us they chose us as the photographers to capture their wedding.  For their eShoot they told us their ideas for the wedding, and not to let too much out of the bag here, just to say we had to find a rural location should give enough hints.  With the wheat being in the middle of harvest season, we found a few great spots out in the Philadelphia area, and boy did we have fun.  These two are not scared of fun or adventure as can be seen from the Windmill pics, Sandy was very nervous but Catherine was totally relaxed.

Please have a look and let us know what you think of the photo’s by leaving a comment, will be greatly appreciated.

Enrico and Celeste

This wedding really pulled our heart strings.  Here are two people who really love each other deeply.  Enrico sadly had a motor bike accident a few months back and as a result was paralyzed from his chest down.  Even though they had only planned to marry next year, Celeste felt they need to marry sooner rather than later, and with the help of many angels this special day was put together.

And even though this wasn’t a big wine estate wedding, this was a real wedding where love came out from all corners, the love for these two was on everyone’s faces, and we hope that we were able to capture all the special moments of this beautiful special day.

Enrico and Celeste, a huge thank you to you for allowing us to capture your special day and all strength to both of you, I know someone special is watching over you.

Below find  a sampling of photo’s from this beautiful day.
